Dance
Bolivia
Nuevas Raíces constitutes an artistic representation of the history of Bolivia through the language of folkloric dance. Through bodily expression, traditional music, and the use of typical attire, the group succeeds in reflecting the historical, cultural, and social processes that have shaped the national identity. The dances performed evoke both the ancestral roots of Indigenous peoples and the influence of the colonial period, as well as the transformations of contemporary Bolivian society.
