Festival Latinoamericano is built by volunteers, for the community. For 25 years, the people who set up the stage, guide the crowds, and keep everything running have been neighbors like you. Join us Labor Day weekend 2026.
Every Labor Day weekend, more than 30,000 people gather on the Historic Courthouse lawn in downtown Provo to celebrate Latin American culture — the music, the food, the dance, the traditions that make our communities what they are. None of it happens without volunteers.
This festival has been 100% volunteer-run since 2001. That's 25 festivals, tens of thousands of hours given freely, and a tradition that belongs to everyone who shows up. Whether you can give two hours or all four days, whether you come alone or with fifty coworkers, there's a place for you here.

Bring your whole group. Service clubs, church youth groups, Scout troops, school organizations, sports teams, neighborhood associations — we love group volunteers. One person in your group signs up as the group lead, we coordinate shifts together, and your whole crew gets placed as a team.
Looking for a team-building day that does real good? Bring your company. We work with local employers to place groups of 3 to 10+ across a shift or a full day. Your team gets to work together, your company gets visibility at one of Utah's largest cultural events, and the community gets the help it needs to pull off Labor Day weekend.
Volunteers keep the festival running — welcoming attendees, supporting performers and vendors, looking after the kids' area, helping with setup and teardown, keeping the grounds beautiful, and dozens of other things that take a festival of 30,000 people from impossible to easy.
When you sign up, you'll tell us a little about yourself — your availability, your languages, your interests, and anything you're especially good at. Our volunteer coordinator reviews every sign-up personally and places each volunteer where they'll make the biggest difference. You don't need to pick a role; we'll find the right fit for you.

Most volunteer shifts run 2 to 4 hours. You can sign up for one shift or several across the weekend.
Setup begins Thursday, September 3. The festival runs Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7. Teardown wraps Monday evening.

Our festival is bilingual. Spanish speakers, English speakers, and bilingual volunteers are all needed and valued. You'll be placed where your language skills are most useful if you'd like.
Volunteer hours can often be used toward school service requirements, scholarship applications, honor society obligations, and religious service commitments. We're happy to sign off on hours after your shift.
If you've volunteered with us before, use the same email address when you sign up this year — we'll recognize you, count your years of service, and consider you for shift lead roles. Volunteers with 3 or more years of reliable service are eligible to lead a team this year.

Tell us who you are, how many people you're bringing, and roughly when you'd like to serve. We'll take it from there.
No. Plenty of volunteer work doesn't require Spanish at all. If you do speak Spanish or another Latin American language, we'll make sure to place you where that's useful.
Yes, as long as everyone 14 and older signs up individually. Kids 12–13 can volunteer with a parent.
One day is great. One shift is great. Whatever you can give, we'll use.
We'll do our best to place walk-up volunteers, but we can't guarantee a shift or a T-shirt. Signing up in advance is the surest way in.
The festival is free to the public — no ticket required. Volunteers get behind-the-scenes access, a T-shirt, and the satisfaction of making the whole thing work.
Absolutely. There's a notes field on the sign-up form — tell us what you're good at: photography, medical training, translation, sound engineering, heavy lifting, anything. We'll find a way to use it.
