Reach out to our performer coordinators — we're here to help with applications, logistics, and anything you need before the festival.
Everything you need to know before performing at Festival Latinoamericano.
Only 3.5 mm audio input (a standard headphone jack). If you're using a phone or tablet, bring every adapter you'll need. Test your setup before arriving.
No. The sound equipment cannot read USB drives. Bring an audio device (phone, tablet, laptop) that can output via 3.5 mm.
At least 30 minutes before your Performance Time, at the sound booth, with your audio device and all required adapters.
Your Sound Booth Support — not festival staff. We aren't responsible for playback order or equipment malfunctions, and tech issues won't extend your performance time.
Applications run annually within set dates. The button at the top of this page reflects the current status — when open it says "Apply as performer →"; otherwise it shows when applications will open or that they're closed.
Typically within 2–3 weeks. If we need more information, we'll email you. You'll receive a final decision — approved, waitlisted, or not selected — by email.
Most performances are volunteer — you perform for the cultural and community benefit of the festival. A limited number of paid slots exist, typically for featured or contracted acts. If you're offered a paid performance, terms will be specified in your Engagement Agreement.
Yes — the application process runs annually and prior approvals don't carry over. We keep your info on file, so re-applying is quick.
Yes. We hold a mandatory informational meeting for all performers before the festival. If you or a representative can't attend, contact us for alternate arrangements — you still need to review the information covered.
At least two months before your performance, send photos or descriptions of all costumes. Because the festival is family-friendly, we may ask for adjustments. We'll work with you collaboratively.
At least one month before your performance. Include a short narrative about your group, plus phone, email, website, social media, and upcoming performances. We may edit or shorten it for programs and promotions.
Non-performing helpers who support your group in the changing tents. Submit a list at least three weeks before your performance. Each needs an identifying badge (you provide) in the changing-tent area. Performer Assistants aren't permitted on stage.
At least three weeks before your performance, send us: Sound Booth Support — name and cell of the person running your music at the sound booth; Technical Team — names of everyone helping with setup, takedown, and equipment; Technical Team Leader — name and cell of the team's point person.
At the stage check-in area no later than 30 minutes before your Performance Time, with all equipment in hand. Be fully dressed and ready to perform by start time. Late arrival may result in loss of your slot.
Exactly the Performance Duration in your Engagement Agreement — no more, no less. Delays from late arrival, tech issues, or any other cause do not extend your time unless we explicitly authorize it.
Only your performers and your Technical Team — before, during, or after. Performer Assistants are not allowed on stage, and audience members or family should not be invited up.
We provide the stage and sound equipment at the Sound Booth. Everything else is yours — instruments, props, costumes, music, adapters. Bring it ready-to-go by arrival time. Safeguarding your equipment is your responsibility; we can't reimburse for loss, theft, or damage.
A private area for your performers to prepare. Only your performers, your badged Performer Assistants, and festival staff may enter. Please remind family and friends not to enter.
Return to the changing tents, pack up your equipment, leave the space clean for the next group, then check out at the check-in area before leaving the festival grounds.
Everything must be appropriate for an audience that includes children. No obscenities, crude acts or language, sexual or ethnic overtones, or references favorable to drugs or alcohol. Stick to what you submitted and what was pre-approved.
Yes — all costumes must be pre-approved (submit photos or descriptions at least two months out). Costumes worn during your performance must match what was approved.
No. Performers cannot be under the influence of any amount of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco while performing. Violations result in immediate termination of the Engagement Agreement.
Violations can result in termination of your Engagement Agreement, cancellation of your performance, or forfeiture of rights under it, at the festival's sole discretion.
Yes — after your performance, for 20 minutes at the table we provide next to the stage. Sales elsewhere or outside that window require a separate vendor pass. All merchandise must be family-friendly.
Yes — by performing, you grant us a license to use your name, likeness, biography, and any images or recordings for editorial, publicity, marketing, and promotional purposes. Full legal terms are in your Engagement Agreement.
Yes — by performing, you confirm that you own or are authorized to use all your music, props, costumes, and performance content. Recordings the festival captures during your performance become festival property; your own materials stay yours.
